Winston-Salem, NC: L to R; Matt Hinman, Ed Waddell, Olivia Urig, Brigitte Rosier, Izlen Peksenar and Nate Mitchell were selected and attended the Developmental Academy 13/14 East Regional Showcase at BB&T Soccer Park on 28, 29 & 30 October hosted by US Soccer. Every match was filmed and national assessors were present for every match and provided match debriefs and mentoring throughout the weekend. Our South Carolina referees each officiated a minimum of eight matches and our referees received both referee and assistant referee assignments during their three days of high level competition. These dedicated referees are to be commended for their effort and commitment in their respective areas in support of our youth leagues, as well as, their willingness to travel, explore and experience expanded referee opportunities within our Southern Region and their pursuit of continuous improvement.
